My friends, Dozer the Pitbull, and Jasmine the Goat, both tagged me to play this game (I’m sorry it took me so long to get round to it, guys!). Basically the rules are:
- Open the folder that contains Pet photos.
- Select any photo in that folder that you haven’t posted previously.
- Post that photo along with the story behind it on your blog.
- Then tag 5 friends.
Well, my human says she doesn’t have a “Pet photos” folder ‘coz EVERY folder is full of pet photos in our house and it would be more correct to talk about a “Human photos” folder…
But anyway, she decided to look in our Baby Photos folder and here is a photo we have not posted before:

(sorry – it’s not very good quality because it was taken with our old video camera machine which can only take small size photos 1megapix)
I was 12 weeks old in this photo and look at the size of my paws and knuckles!! They were already almost the size they are now – hee! hee!
Don’t they say you can tell how big a doggie will grow from the size of his paws? Well, I guess mine were right! My humans never really noticed them at the time – they just thought that was me – and they couldn’t understand why everyone we saw on the street kept commenting on the size of my paws…but now when they look at the photos of me as a puppy, they realise why!
(can you see all the loose, baggy skin I had to grow into as well?
)
My humans took this photo because my ears started going funny around that time (they went REALLY weird when I got to about 4 months – sort of up and folded forwards) – and the vet explained that it was because I was teething.
My humans had heard terrible things about “teething” and were dreading me destroying the house…but aside from my ears going funny, there was no real change! I didn’t start chewing things like mad, I didn’t really destroy anything…I was a really non-destructive puppy.
Of course, they supervised me A LOT and always interrupted whenever I was chewing on anything inappropriate and redirected me onto my chew toys…so I quickly learnt what was OK to chew on and if I ever got the ‘chewy feeling’, I should go and find one of my many chew toys and not take it out on the coffee table!
I was also always praised a lot if I ever just picked up one of my chew toys by myself. (You know if us doggies never get the chance to learn a bad habit, then we never think of doing them). But I guess they were still lucky…
Now to tag 5 friends:
- Mr Darcy the Great Dane (who only just started blogging last week!)
- JuniorBabee and Orion (two of my favourite meezers!)
- Max & JD the Schnauzer Brothers (the cutest brothers around!)
- Jackson & Patrick, the Californian Chihuahuas (one of my new blog friends)
- Pipa the Golden Retriever (one of my oldest blog friends!)
I also wanted to show this photo of me in a T-shirt today, in support of Phantom and what he’s going through at the moment. Poor Phantom! If you haven’t already, do pop over to his blog to give him some licks & hugs.

Especially for you, Phantom - get well soon!
And lastly, some of you may remember that my boyfriend and best friend, Ombre the Standard Schnauzer, moved away with his family last month to live in Toronto (sob!) - well, for any that are wondering, he’s settling in great! He sent me some photos of him exploring around his new city, so I’ll share them with you here…

Going on his 1st walk after getting off the plane!

Enjoying the Toronto waterfront...

Check out this cool dog training place!

Posing at the beach...

...and resting on some fake grass by the children's play area (yes, can you believe it - that's fake!!)
His humans say that he coped with the looong journey in the big bird machine really well and is really enjoying his new home. It’s great to see him so happy…although I do miss him terribly! (sigh)
Well, that’s it from me…tune in on Thursday Tricky T-Day: I’ve finally managed to do some free-shaping with a bucket without breaking it (OK, bent it doesn’t count, yeah?) and also a few other objects, so I’ll show you that…and also a couple more tricks. (Any special requests?)
Then next week: a lot of doggies have been asking me how we make up our dance routines – so, now that you’ve got some tricks & moves under your belt – I’ll do a post to show how you can put them together to make a dance routine and give you a simple routine you can try!

Hello there Honey!
Love the photos and the story behind your growing up years. We did wonder about the state of your ears in the second photo … i guess it's all part and parcel of growing up. I use to have problems with my hind leg … when i was a pup … not so much now

Hi Honey,
Thank you so much for wearing your shirt in honor of Phantom. It looks just great on you and it's OK that Phantom isn't wearing his now -- it's the thought that counts. You are so sweet.
Those puppy pics are adorable -- we love your ears. Mom says she learned something about the link between teething and ears, never knew that.
It is so good to hear that your friend is adjusting so well in Toronto. That must have been a very long flight for him.
Hope you have a wonderful week.
Tail wags, the OP Pack
Ohhh, look at those enormous paws!!!
Great post!

Honey…..you sure were a cute baby…and you are still very stunning! We are sorry you miss Ombre. We both have girlfriends and they are in different states, so we teleport over to visit them, maybe you and Ombre can do the same.
Meowm says she will work on this picture game with us for Thursdays post! Thanks for tagging us!
I totally believe that you were a good puppy. Momma says that for the most part her two big doggies were very well behaved as pups.
That shirt is a bit small on you but I like the sentiment.
Slobbers,
Mango
GACK! honey your puppy picture was SOOOOO CUTE! i fell out of my chair.
I'm glad Ombre is happy. It was so sad when he moved.
I LOVE your puppy pictures! Those ears are soooooo cute!

Oh Gosh, Honey -- what an adorable puppy you were! Even tho you say your ears were "funny" I LOVE them in those pix! Just so cute! And sorry about Ombre -- but he seems to like his new digs! Hope you don't miss him too much. Sorry I've been away so long -- my secty has been lazy and/or bizzy of late and I've missed you too!
Hugs xo
Sammie
What a beautiful pup you were! Sooo cute! It sounds like your parents lucked out a little but it sounds like they raised you well too! We had such trouble with Teddy eating things! I always traded him acceptable toys for the stolen pillows books etc when I caught him and I crated him when I was not home but he still managed to get into lots of trouble! He was more than a year old when he came to us so I think the habits were pretty set! Hopefully his new dad is having more luck with this! May alive puppies are hard work! Luckily my moose came well behaved!
oh… and we are very curious about the teething and ears thing… how on earth could teeth make your ears grow funny! I don't doubt the doc but as a biologist I would love to know how that happens! & Can't wait to see your shaping trick. THe bucket pic you posted last week cracked me up!

Ohmigosh -- we're so excited to be tagged! Thank you Honey! We'll do this over the weekend -- it's going to be fun! We loved seing the photos of Ombre, we're delighted that he's settling in. We hope you don't miss him too much -- you were lucky to have met him when you did. Tail wags -- JD and Max.
Hi Honey,
I glad Ombre look happy in his new home, but I bet he misses you!
You were a very cute puppy! My ears went funny when I was teething too. Sometimes both down, sometimes one up one down! Now they both just right and Mum didn't have to glue them or anything like some shelties have to have.
Anyway, I look forward to your thursday post!
~lickies, Ludo
Your baby ears were sure cute, Honey! You certainly grew into your wrinkly skin well
Ombre was brave to travel all that long distance. He looks like he's adapting well, but of course it's still summer here. He'd better get ready for winter and buy some warm coats!
Hi Honey!
You look so cute in those puppy pictures!
And you look so beautiful today in your t-shirt!
Glad to hear your best friend Ombre is happy in his new home!
xoxo,
Thor
OOOOHH! Wow thank you Honey!
I can't wait to trawl through all my images and choose a suitable one
Your teething ears are the cutest! Of course you were a good puppy, just look at your adorable innocent eyes! You never did anything wrong I bet!
I am so glad that Ombre is going well in his new home. I bet you really miss him though
big--paw smack-downs to you
Mr Darcy
Hi, Honey!
Your puppy pictures are adorable!
Glad to know Ombre is doing so well at his new place!
You are so nice supporting Phantom!
Kisses and hugs

I'm sorry you miss Ombre, but it looks like he is very happy. At least you can stay in touch via email and blogging. You look very cute in your t-shirt and puppy photo!
Awwwww…. Honey, you looked so cute when you were a puppy and also so gorgeous now especially wearing the white t-shirt!
Licks,
Adele, Vincent & Bella
Wow, big paws!! Really giant!
It's great to know that your friend, Ombre, is doing well in Canada
You were a real cutie as a puppy Honey! And I love your wonky ears. Setter ears just hang down so I never went through that stage during teething. I'm glad your friend is settling in Canada but I am sure you miss him lots.
Your friend,
Niamh
Gosh, Honey, you were such a cute but BIG puppy! My ears never went the way they were supposed to. Guess lots of us have funny ears!
You were so cute Honey, we just love your puppy teething ears and big puppy paws.
Our human says our photo folders are full of us as well, we end up being in nearly all of her albums… hehe
We are glad your friend is settling in well.
Hope you are having a great day.
Holly & Zac…XX
SUCH a cute pup. Love the ears!
Just catching up with visits so I’ve only just seen your drool post. Too funny! Danes are experts at that. There’s not a lot of it going on in this house but, seeing as you’ve created a class for the amateurs, maybe I’ll be able to find a suitable photo.
Great idea, by the way.
Hi Honey
What a beautiful post -- you were the most beautiful puppy with the largest ears!
Thank you for sharing those wonderful pictures and the story behind them with us.
Sorry we are so far behind with the blogs -- it is hard to be on holiday and blog we have discovered.
Have a lovely weekend.
love

Hello Honey!! We’re happy to see your adorable pup photo!! Our mom once told us that all the ‘gonna be a big girl or boy’ has cute big paws so what she told us was true.
We’ve haven’t got a chance to meet Ombre yet. We know his family has been busy. Hopefully we can sniff his bumbum soon!
