This is one of my regular walks: Cornwall Park, one of the biggest parks in Auckland – and one of the most beautiful. It is also very unusual because it contains a working farm, with sheep, cows, chicken and more! Dogs are not allowed off-leash but we still enjoy it anyway.
Here is a movie I made to take you on a tour of the park…and look at all the signs that Spring is here!
.
We are so lucky…how many people have all this in their city parks?

beautiful pics Honey! wow is it spring already there? it seems like you just advertized that winter had arrived–but alas, i guess we are going into fall here, so that would make perfect sense.
OH!!!! we just watched the video! at first we were really freaked out–did you guys know you drive on the wrong side of the road–that was terrifying!!!! but then we saw those sweet baby sheep–aren’t they so cute???
Honey–we love your puffed out chest in the daffodiles, and we really really LOVE you at 2:08 HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
it didn’t look like you were crazy about going home….i can see why
Hi Honey – how lovely for you that it’s spring. Autumn is coming here – the days are getting shorter, the rain is setting in and the wind is picking up. We had a wonderful summer – we get told that summers here are not always as good as the one we’ve just had, but then we also hear that the summers of your youth are the best, he he he! You look wonderful sitting amongst the daffodils! Schnauzer snuggles – JD and Max.
“Has anyone seen lightning?
Has anyone looked lovely?
And the daffodils look lovely today,
And the daffodils look lovely today …”
Daffodil Lament by The Cranberries
(It seems like an upbeat song when you listen to it, but it’s actually quite not. So I just clipped the part of the lyrics that sounded happy and talked about daffodils.)
(P.S. — If you’re looking for a nice and relatively slow Viennese Waltz, Daffodil Lament fills the bill.)
Honey!
You get in the car the same way I do. Slooooowly. I can’t believe that smush you in that tiny clown car. Sheesh.
You were such an angel on your walkie. I saw you being a good girl even when there were totally scary things like that stroller going by.
Was there some sort of lamb agility competition going on?
Good job leaving your mark on the poopy bucket.
Slobbers,
Mango
Honey, you look beautiful posing with the daffodils!
It was so cool seeing Honey get in the car. She makes it look so small. Like her own personal crate.
The lambs are so adorable! Almost as cute as my goat kids.
That one was quite the escape artist going over the rock wall so easily. Those fences are so short. My goats would have gone over it in a heartbeat.
Thanks for sharing the video. It’s very beautiful in that park. No wonder you enjoy walking Honey. The only places I have to walk are soooo boring.
Hi Honey & Hsin-Yi,
Now that was a lovely walk that all of you had….just a beautiful place and such cute baby sheep!
I love the Doggie Doo Doo Garbage can….that would be so cute in my yard!
Kasha & Denise
Oh yes, you are so lucky to have such a nice park! How we wish we could be there!!
We’re getting ready for Autumn. I don’t understand how you could have spring, while I’m having Autumn…
My mom person tried to show me on a globe, but you were upside down!! How do you keep from falling off??
What a great park!!! We would love to be able to go strollering there (if we were there, andif we had a stroller). Thank you for sharing it with us.
We don’t blame you for taking your time getting in the car, we wouldn’t have wanted to leave either!
Oh Spring! How lovely!
I did pick out music for our dance routine, and have a “rough” choreography for the first half of the song. We are working on it, but haven’t had much time lately.
Being we are going into fall and winter, when the weather around here starts to get cruel and unusual, we’ll start making lots of progress
Wowzers! You’re such a gorgeous babe! Love the shot of you in the yellow flowers! Did you taste any of those, by chance?
Play bows,
Zim
Honey, you have spring and we are in fall. Isn’t this world of ours an amazing place to live☺
Hi Honey. Sorry not be back before. You went off my radar cos Mom forgot to add you to my buddy’s. Those leggeds. Can’t be trusted. Wow your city park is amazing. So beautiful. Thank dog you didn’t try the tree climbing. And a farm? Poor lambs- hope they don’t suffer the same fate as the NZ one’s we see in the supermarket all frozen.
Wiry wags Eric xx
Hi Honey,
Cornwall Park is one of our favorite parks! But, when we last went there we couldn’t see the sheep in a short distance. At that time all the sheep were up near the top of One Tree Hill. Thanks for letting us know that they are now in the lower paddocks!
What a beautiful park Honey! I love daffodils!
We are so lucky! Great great park! Can you believe we don’t have parks in our city?
Lovely video, Honey!
And thanks for the tips for Rufus’ training! Thank you so much!
Kisses
Rufus and Indie
Once again, the two of woo are just sooo beaWOOtiful together!

Hugz&Khysses,

I wish we were going in to spring! But I like the fall colors, so maybe we could do fall and then spring. But Mom says I’m going to like snow, so we’ll see. … I’m with Oskar – why don’t you fall off the world where you live? You are TOTALLY upside down. (But I guess that explains why you drive on the wrong side of the road – you’re sort of upside down and backwards!)
*kissey face*

I don’t know where to start! Spring is so beautiful there – and a working farm! Daffodils and your lovely walk to the voice and music of Satchmo!!! Just loved the vid so much – one of my fave moments is Honey getting into her space in your car!!! That was pawsome! I lie in the back of the car like that too!
Hugs xo
Sammie
Honey, you look so beautiful in the daffodils – reminded us of Dakota and how sweet she looked with her daffodils too. That is a lovely park, but we are worried, we think Mom wants a baby lamb now:)
Tail wags, the OP Pack
Honey, The comment you left — we now have visions of you dancing with your human while she has a cockatoo perched on her shoulder rocking to the rhythm.
Dear Honey,
I loved watching that video! What a wonderful place!
Isn’t it nice that spring is here? We are all enjoying the warmer weather and all the blossoms and flowers.
You look so beautiful surrounded by daffodillies.
I like the careful way you get in the car. Its quite graceful. These days I can get my front half in and then Mumma has to lift my back half in. Its not very dignified for either of us; but is quite funny!
smooches,
Mr Dacy
Oh Honey, what a fabulous park! Thank you for the nice tour. I didn’t know that little sheep could jump up so high!
your pal,
Bruce:)
p.s. you just barely fit into that car…nice job getting in!
We love the doggie poopy garbage pail – too cool – what an incredible park – we loved your tour – but Honey – sweetie – tell your pawrents you need a SUV
Woodrow – Sweetie – MJ
LOL, I didn’t realize he came across as small in his pictures. He’s actually nineteen inches (48.3cm) tall and forty pounds (18kg). Quite a big lap dog.
I’m glad you liked the video. He really is very enthusiastic about free shaping and training in general. I think he’s smart too he’s just a little slower to catch on than the German Shepherds I grew up with lol.
I’ll try to do more videos (especially since I have no job and have all this time on my hand haha) and I’ll check out Ludo’s thing. I’d been thinking about doing that anyway.
Thanks for encouraging me to do a video. It was a lot of fun and I was so proud of it when it was finished. Guess I need to go give the mutt his breakfast now or do some training.
You’re very lucky to have such beautiful parks!! Love the lambs, so cute. What a good girl you are walking with you Mum.
I also have to say that your videographer(is it your Dad, Honey) is fabulous. Very steady and lovely angles.
What a TOTALLY awesome place Honey! you are so lucky to get to go there. Thank you so much for the beautiful video, we loved it! mom especially loved seeing all the animals and your precious face close up!!
Wags and woofs.
Benson and Gibson
Wow!! Your park is wonderful! I wish we had a park like that mom would probably want to bring us to it everyday!
Kali

What a fab park, so much to see.
It seems so strange that our leaves are just starting to change to browns and golds but you’re there with daffodils and lambs!

Hi, Hsin Yi! I need to apologise, because somehow I lost your interesting comment on my blog, the one about how people see animals as just there for the use of humans. It was a really good comment, too!
Ysin and Honey Dog you are both so beautiful, I cant wait to visit your blog!
Hello Honey, thanks so much for your lovely comments as always!!
We’d been away from visiting our friends’ bloggy (yours included! sign). You did so well at the agility class and we’re so proud of you, Honey! Think about it… for some reasons, all the tonels and the loops are made for teeny tiny dogs (why is that anyway?) but if the size was right, everything would have gone well from the very beginning!
Yes, the Cavalier Playday was pawsome and it was like our dream! Ok… the reason why me Pinot had to be on a leash was…. according to our pawrents, I am kinda unexpected Cavalier… Since I was bitten badly by a doggie, I’ve been always afraid of being approached by other doggies so I have to say woooooof strongly first.
I know it’s not nice but it’s been a bit trauma. I’ll be ok one day soon!!
Guess what?? Our mom and our human pup brudder met Ombre and Jack at the first time today!! We’re very very jealous!!
Momo & Pinot
A wonderful park Honey and love those daffodils!

We understand addiction to Magnolia Trees. Mum reckons we have the most beautiful magnolia tree in Auckland down our street. You didn’t look too keen to get in the car. Cornwall Park is the bestest aye!!!
RAH – Bodie & GOO
Hi Hsin Yi,
Can you please tell me how do you copy the google map??
It’s Autumn over in the Nederlands and it’s getting colder by each day. Brrrrrr….
As always, Honey looks so regal in the photo!
