The Human Pups & me at my 6th birthday party back in Auckland last year...
Remember my friend, DizzyMum, who brought her Human Pups to my birthday party back in Auckland?
Well, she and her family are actually from Brisbane and they have just moved back here!
I am so happy because it is so nice to have friends in a strange new place…
…and I love her Human Pups because they always give me lots of cuddles and play fun games with me!

And guess what? They invited me and my humans to their place for my 1st Aussie BBQ!

There were lots of meaty yummies that smelled really delicious…!

But while we were waiting for them to cook, the Human Pups played some games with me. We played football (my favourite!)…

…and then we played some Modelling ‘coz the Human Pups wanted to get some photos with me…and you know how good I am at that! Hee! Hee! After all, I think I have the most “camera-mad” human in the world! Hsin-Yi has been using the Camera Machine on me every day from the moment I arrived home at 8 weeks!

.
Here are some of the shots that Hsin-Yi got – what do you think? Don’t we look sweet together?

.
Hsin-Yi was very proud of me because I was very good with the Human Pups and let them climb on me and hug me and do anything they liked.
She is always a bit worried because I don’t have any human pups of my own and when I was a puppy, none of their friends had any either - so Hsin-Yi is always worried that I might not have got enough socialisation with them.
But she did make a big effort – like she always got nice human pups in the street to pat me and feed me treats and she took me to sit near playgrounds so I could get used to children running and screaming around me. But still, I have not had a lot of chances to play with human pups and have them touching me everywhere and hugging me and stuff, so Hsin-Yi was really pleased with how patient and tolerant I was.
Of course, it’s easy ’coz these are my favourite Human Pups and I love getting cuddles from them! They even got me a special Christmas present – a tug toy! – and Hsin-Yi said they could give me treats as long as I did something to earn them. (That’s easy! Here, do you want to shake my paw?
)

.
After we finished playing, I went back to check on the BBQ…mmm, looks like it’s almost done!

.
Of course, the humans got to eat first…but I did get a lot of yummy leftovers (sorry, there is no picture ‘coz I gobbled it up too quickly!
)

And then afterwards, it was time for more cuddles…But wait! What’s that over there? What do you think the little Human Girl Pup is showing me?

There’s a kitty-cat in the house! Her name was Samantha but although I tried to be friendly and wagged my tail and gave her a play bow when I saw her, she didn’t like me at all!
She hissed at me and made a scary yowly sound so I kept a respectful distance!

Much better to be getting more cuddles from the Human Pups!

Hi Honey,
Looking at your pictures with the human pups makes me anxious for our Great Dane adoption process to be faster! I can’t wait to get pictures of my Human Pups with our very own Great Dane!!!

How fun! You were so good with those human pups! I would’ve wanted to herd them! Glad to know you have some friends in Brisbane!
BBQ’s are great! We are glad to hear that you got some of the left overs. Those human puppies looked very sweet. You are such a good girl to pose so nicely with them. We don’t like the ones who scream at us in the dog park, we just like nice calm ones. Glad you had a great day with your friends.

Hey Honey
Looks like it was a lovely BBQ, yum yum.
Cats are always hissing at me when I do a play bow at them too -- I really can’t figure it out! I’m always polite but they don’t seem to want to play -- its a shame isn’t it ’cause we would have such fun if they would just join in!

Hi Honey,
Looks like you had a really good time with your favorite human pups! I liked them too when I played with them at your birthday party. They were so nice to me!
Wow, you got some leftover BBQ!! If I had been there with you, I would have taken all the leftover before you had a chance to get your share! Hee hee… As you know, I am so fast especially when it comes to getting food.
Love,
Cinnamon
Honey
Looks like your 1st Aussie bbq was a great success!
That little girl looked so cute posing with you -- I bet she’s asking her Mom and Dad for a dog!
take care

What a nice little girl you found to play with! Adult kittycats are not so friendly, but if you can find them when they are babies, they are not frightened. I’m so glad you have friends to play with already!

I’m so glad you found some old friends in a new place. It makes setlling in to a new place so much easier and a lot less overwhelmimg!
My Shiver hasn’t really been around children much either. He tends to be very shy around strangers. Chico’s previous owner had a little boy so I thought he’d be good around little ones but yeah, not so much! I think probably his previous owners didn’t teach their little boy how to treat a tiny dog because Chico tends to grumble and snap at children.
Hsin-Yi better be careful cause it looked like that human girl puppy liked you a lot and she might keep you at her house!!!
Honey, what a nice treat for you and your family. It is always nice to have some familiar faces in a strange new place. Those little bipeds look just like the perfect kind for yu, they seem so well-behaved and know how to act around you too. You are very good to let them climb on your back. We loved your modeling pics.
Woos and happy weekend, Phantom and Thunder
Hi, Honey!
Sure is pawesome that your friends are there too!
I can see how much the human pups love you!
Glad you all had a great time!
Kisses and hugs

Hi Honey!
Love the pics of you and the kids. I went to the dog beach today and there was a little kid there, about a year old. I gave him a big kiss on his face and he thought I was SO funny. I liked him.
Here are some links to some posts that my mom has written about me so you can see pics of me!

What beautiful pictures of a great time together! That human girl pup is a darling. She’s so sweet. Bet you liked her too. We love all the pictures of the two of you!!
What a shame the kitty wouldn’t play with you.
The childrens look like they really liked you and you was doing a good job teaching that girl how to shake her paw!

Oh Honey, you and the human pup girl are soooo sweet together! I love where she is trying to ride you and then when she points out the kitty and is giving you a kiss! She is obviously smitten with you! How fun that your friends from NZ moved back to Brisbane. Hopefully, you can have more get togethers too.
Also, your new house looks so nice. I hope you get the hang of the stairs…they are not so bad! I bet you will be zooming up and down them before too long.
Kisses,
Nala
O Honey and your Humans, my human and I are so happy you found someone you know over there
It looks like you had a lovely time at your first Aussie BBQ! Especially playing with the soccor ball!
And I’m glad you are so patient with childern, your humans must have done some good socialisation with you! and your humans are very responisble so even though you were being good, they would of kept a close eye on you to make sure you weren’t getting fed up!
Looking forward to more Aussie 1sts
Licks,
Lexi
Hi Honey,
How nice it is that your mom and dad have some friends in Brisbane and you got to go to your 1st BBQ in Australia! Those sausages looked yummy…did you manage to steal yourself one?? Ha Roo!! I’m glad to see you are adjusting to this new chapter of your life.
I haven’t posted on my blog lately but mom has been taking lots of photos so I just have to nudge her with my big nose and tell her to get posting.

Hi Honey!
I just visited your blog out of curiosity.
And now I just can’t stop reading!
I’m such a big fan of you!
And your human is totally amazing, teaching you all these tricks, and dancing! wow!!
Lots of Kisses from
Princess Eva
Honey, please tell you Mum thanks for the training information, we are starting fresh with our little Boston and will be using the info your Mum gave us. Thanks again!
It sure looks like you enjoyed the barbequeue when might you have some human pups of your own to play with
Happy BBQ-ing! Sounds like you have settled in quite nicely! And Mom thinks those pictures of you with the human pup are really funny, since you are, like, twice her size! Sorry the kitteh didn’t like you, but you know cats -- they are a little moody…

Honey your in Brissie!!!! Welcome! It looks like you have settled in. I also like lying on the floorboards in summer and getting a bit of sun as well.

Oh, HONEY! That looks like the BEST party EVER! I just love BBQs and I love, love, LOVE biped puppies! It must have been so fun playing with them and having them hug you and everything!!!
Is it terribly hot there? I hope you’re staying cool!
Love,
Ammy
oh yay! i am so happy to see that you have some familiar faces at your new home! such a good girl with the little ones!
Oh Honey, thank you for posting all these beautiful photos of you at our barbecue. And your fans are right, the human pups are asking us continually for their own dog. We keep telling them they will have to wait until we are really settled (and have done all the research like Hsin-Yi did for you) before we find a doggie to join our household. Thanks again for being so kind and patient with our pups, and a beautiful dinner party guest!
Awwww you were so perfect. Looks like it was a fun BBQ. Those pictures of you with the girl human pup are soooooo adorable!!!!!! I’m glad they moved back so you have familiar faces around again. I don’t think it will take you long to make new friends though.
Jackal
What wonderful photos of you and your small human friends. Looks like a fun time. I do think the young girl is quite smitten with you. I wouldn’t be surprised if she has a dog when she grows up, and names it “Honey”.
Honey! I am so impressed with how good you were with that little human pup. I don’t really care for the way the wee ones like to grab me and am SHOCKED when their parents don’t know enough to stop them.
Slobbers,
Mango
Hi Honey -- oh, those human pups look like great fun! We were impressed how well they interacted with you -- we know that some human pups haven’t been trained very well at all and their humans don’t seem to care when they run riot!
JD especially LOVES human pups -- he’ll let them do anything to him and he takes it all with obvious joy and very gentle patience. In comparison Max takes a few minutes to relax around them so we have to make sure the human pups know how to act around us doggies -- and we avoid screaming children (we run into quite a few of them on the sea-front so we don’t go anywhere near when we hear them screaching in the distance, he he he!)
We’re glad you enjoyed the barbie -- it looks like you were the perfect house guest! Schnauzer snuggles -- JD and Max.
Honey! What a great bbq!!! We are so glad you have some friends there already! We bet once that meezer gets a bit used to you, she will warm up to you! We love the pictures of you with the human pups!!!!!
Sounds like you had a great time there, Honey! The human pups sure are cute!
hello honey! you are so huge and so GOOD!
your blog is too cool
i love all the new pictures and the little human girl! so cute! and you’re so well behaved (as usual)! Darwin LOVES little kids, a little too much, she’ll rush over to give them kisses and it usually freaks them out. We’re working on having her walk by them nicely and it’s slowly getting better!
Hi Honey!
Looks like you had a great time! Those pictures with you and the little human are so cute! You were so nice with her! You two look so happy together! I bet those leftover BBQ was delicious!
love,
Thor
Honey, is absolutely adorable!!!
Hi Honey!
What great friend you’ve made with those cute little human pups! You’re such a agreeable dog! I bet your made your humans proud!

Drools!!! The BBQ meats certainly look yummy! The pics of you with the little girl are so sweet! Nice to know that you already have some friends in the new country. Love, Dino
Sometimes kitties are not too friendly. I imagine it must be scary for the cat to see someone as big as you!
