I was very indignant that several doggies made fun of my wardrobe in some of my recent posts – yes, you know who you are! - Humph! I’ll have you know that I think I am the height of doggie fashion! 
My pink stretchy fleece vest is actually from DoggieJama – my humans originally got it ‘coz they were worried I’d be cold at night back in NZ ‘coz of my short fur – but in the end it was a bit too small and thin, so they got a bigger one made at the tailor with fleece they found themselves and so now I just use this one as a light coat. It’s great as it is really stretchy and comfortable and unlike most dog coats, there is nothing tying around my middle so I can run and jump and do anything in it comfortably. And I think the pale pink with black accents is very Chanel…thank you very much!
Then for when it’s really cold outside, my humans got me another coat from Greyhounds As Pets (GAP) back in NZ – it is double-sided polar fleece, really lovely and soft and warm – in a beautiful purple and grey leopard skin pattern. I think it’s very ‘French chic’ – n’est-ce pas? 
My humans were really pleased to find it ‘coz most doggie coats they looked at: a) don’t come in a big enough size (even in XXL) and b) weren’t made with my body shape in mind – ‘coz I’m very narrow but I have a VERY deep chest and a big “tuck up”. But Greyhounds have a similar body shape so my humans found that a greyhound coat fit me perfectly, as long as they got a custom-made XXXXXL size!

Well, if you want to laugh – then take a look at my new pyjamas then!
See – since my Rally-O & Tricks class finished at the Brisbane RSPCA Animal Training Centre, Hsin-Yi has been looking for another thing that we can do together once a week – and so we’ve joined one of the classes at the Metro Dog Obedience Club.
We had been to the Metro Club before just to practise our dancing by ourselves but now we’re joining one of the Obedience classes with lots of other doggies. Hsin-Yi is very proud of me ‘coz they assessed me and said I can go in the Advanced Class! (I will tell you more about my classes and show you a video in another post…)
…anyway, on the first night we were there to join the class, Hsin-Yi saw another doggie wearing the most amazing fleecy pyjama-type thing which looked so warm and comfy – so she immediately went over to ask the doggie’s human where she got it from. Well, the lady told Hsin-Yi that she had made it herself! And she also said she would make one especially for me – and bring it the following week! 
Now, of course, I do already have a very nice pyjama – well, more like a fleece nightgown really. This is the version of the DoggieJama that my humans got the tailor to make up, extra long and wide, so that it covers me up more when I’m sleeping. I love my nightgown and it’s really soft and warm and comfy – but it does leave my legs uncovered and the neckline is a bit desabillé and draughty, to tell you the truth…
In fact, on really cold nights, my humans would be worried about me and would put my big black fleece blanket on me as well…but of course, I’d always move in the night and the blanket would fall off – and nobody would be there to cover me up again – so they’d find me in the morning curled up into a tight little ball, with my ears really cold! 
So when my humans saw these pyjamas that this other doggie at the Metro Club was wearing, they thought it was the perfect solution!! There would be no part of me that would be cold after this…

Anyway, I LOVE it!
It is so gorgeous and soft and very stretchy and comfortable. And look – it’s even got a hole at the back so I can do a ‘midnight wee’ without having to take it off! And the lady only charged us $30!

Sasha’s not so keen on clothes, but she reluctantly agrees to wear her raincoat because we go out twice a day, regardless of the weather!

I wouldn’t put it on my own dog, but I know Daisy will love it.
My dogs do wear their coats & boots! Boots are no fun when you have 2 dogs. That’s 8 paws! Good thing they’re velcro, not laces.

My Jeannette wants one for me! She is (and Ron my other boss he he! ) tired of getting up to me two or three times in the night to cover me over( Melbourne has been really cold) . I very polite about it ,I just go to their door shake my ears so they flap and then run straight back onto my bed so they can cover me over. sometimes I also go out for ‘quick quicks’ (wees etc) and then I will have a really big drink before going back to bed
he! he! this can make them a bit grumbly.

Well, we think your wardrobe is FABULOUS! Of course, I have a pink sweatshirt, Lola has a leopard print coat and Mom has bought patterns to make us lots of things (including a pair of PJs like yours!)! We get cold in the winter and I won’t even go outside unless I have my coat on!

I’ve never really put clothes on my dogs because I used to have a fox terrier that I tried to put a jacket on during the winter. She fought and growled at me when I tried to put it on her. Then when I got Chico, his owners gave me 2 shirts for him. He let me put them on but whenever he’d go outside to do his business, he’d come in all wet.

They definitely look well fitting and well constructed, but he he he… can’t say that I did not chuckle at first! Still you are one haute couture doggie and I predict that you will start a trend that is totally gonna take off!
If your coat and jammies work for you, the let the naysayers think what they will. My people won’t let me out for very long in winter, because of cold, and they fuss over putting me in a draft proof room for sleepies. I won’t wear a coat, but it’s nice that you will!

Honey I think large dogs with short hair get colder then little dogs that look like mops such as myself and Miz Becky!! We can curl up small to snuggle. YOu look fabulous in your new clothes and I hope they provide you lots of warmth while you sleep and train outdoors! Sleep tight!

Luckily, I know the truth. But sometimes me and my human get a bit uncomfortable.. Especially when we take our evening walk, and some humans have been drinking the “become-stupid-juice” that some of them like so much. Hope that you don’t have to hear comments from stupid humans. They are just.. stupid. 
First of all I love your knew blog! Hope you get your favourite picture back in the top too. =)
And second… Love your pyjama-thing! I think you have a rather fashionable wardrobe. Unfortunatly, I have so much coat that I can’t wear stuff like that. I would get too hot. But if I ever get clipped I will make sure that I get a pj just like yours, to compensate for all my coat. Besides, I already know how it feels when other doggies and humans laugh at you. Even though most humans, and doggies too, envy my appearance… Not everybody does. Or maybe they do, but they never admit it. Instead they laugh, telling me mean stuff about my gait or tail or coat.. or my pointy nose. They say I look ridiculous.

Honey, I love your new Pj’s!! You must be well-behaved even when you are sleeping. When it is really cold at night, my mum put a tee shirt on me, but I always take it off while asleep. Pj’s covering arms and legs like yours might be stay on me.
By the way, I was told that the scheduled Paws N Music competition on Saturday is going to be a demo instead of a competition because they didn’t get enough entries to make it a competition.
I certainly wouldn’t be laughing at any of those outfits -- they look not only super-fashionable, but also useful, especially the new pjs with the handy hole at one end.
