Wordless Wednesday: ‘BatCat’ (& Hurricane Sandy)

.

* We also just wanted to say that we hope all our friends on the American East Coast & Canada are OK. We have been hearing very scary things about Hurrican Sandy on our news here and just hope that everyone has managed to stay safe. We’re not able to get round to visiting blog friends or checking Google Reader at the moment – but we will be thinking of you.

Wordless Wednesday: ‘BatCat’ (& Hurricane Sandy) — 11 Comments

  1. That is a very cool picture. We had high winds from Sandy all the way back here in Michigan. That is how huge the storm was. Our thoughts are with those who had losses due to the storm.

  2. Hi Honey!!!
So is kitty sister behaving now? We watched a documentary on cats recently that was quite interesting: it said that because we treat our pet cats like children, they never grow up from teenagehood! It said that in the wild they have to grow up eventually, otherwise they would die, but that us humans love them and protect them and that therefore the cats decide to stay kids! It reminded me of Paris Hilton a bit… But digress!
Love you lots, Indigo and Malach

  3. Love “batcat”.

We are good here. We experienced mostly wind, not much rain, which was good, as I was more worried about flooding than anything.

  4. Love the Bat Cat photo… We still have a LOT of snow here on the Canadian Prairies but no wind. I love to race around in it even though my toes get numb! My cosy new coat keeps my body warm but there’s a lot more to me than just my back and tummy! It is supposed to warm up to 15C by the end of the week -- no more snow!

P.S. My humans have been watching the news about the nasty storm on the other side of the country and have been very sad that a beautiful tall ship “The Bounty” went down in the storm and 2 of the crew were lost. So sad…:(

  5. Hi Honey -- Indy Bones here. That is a cool pic of Muesli. I met a cat named Daisy on Saturday, she was a sweet kitty and I was extra nice to her (because my human MADE me do that). It has been a scary time for me and my humans with that big storm called Sandy -- so many days to get ready for the big winds and rain. I tried to help by telling them they should just chill like me……but it didn’t help much. We are all ok -- but many of our friends lost power and had damage to their homes. One my my human Diane’s favorite resturants in RI (where she grew up) had alot of damage, she was sad to see the pictures.

Thank you for thinking of us -- we are sending you lots of healing thoughts Honey!!!

    Your friend,

    Indy Bones

  6. That’s a super good photo! I could hear the dramatic music in the background, especially when I read Sheree Jackson’s comment!

It’s sad to read all the damage and loss from the big storm. Nature has a way of showing us we’re not in charge of the planet, we’re just part of the big picture.

  7. Honey, Muesli & Hsin-Yi! Remember me?! I am BACK! And… that is one awesome shot of Muesli. Dayum, I must say Muesli looks nice & juicy now haha! She’s matured sooo much since I last saw her over a year ago. And Honey, what happened to your eye? :( It does not look good Honey. I hope it is nothing too serious & that it would get better soon. Anyways, where are you guys right now? Are you all still in Australia? Me hopes everyone in the US & Canada are safe too. We have been concerned for everyone. Hope to hear from you guys soon! Happy Halloween!

    Licks,
    Solid Gold Dancer

  8. We hope all is going well with all of you! Sending purrs and prayers.

We loves the bat cat picture! Does Muesli have a cape?

We are very saddened about the damage the storm left. Meowm has donated to a few places and we continue to purr and pray for all affected.
