My name is Auggie, and I'm a Heeler/Dalmatian/Whippet mix, I had tummy issues when my mommy first got me, and she tried many different kibbles until I just had to get off kibble alltogether, so she gave me this really yummy raw food called Instinct, but it was really really expensive so she eventually tried this really nice kibble called Life's Abundance and it was great for me! She says I just needed more fruits and veggies in my diet and less grain and this has been doing great with me for a year now, but my mommy still wishes she could feed me a raw diet, and tried something like it for awhile but since we go away so often for shows and family and holidays that it just isnt feesable with our lifestyle. Hopefully once she is done high school and college she will have more time and be able to feed me a raw diet or something similiar but for now Im just happy to have a full belly, lots of toys and antlers and hooves to chew on and a mommy to snuggle with me at night :3

Sounds cool! Just curious, how expensive is it? I might bring it up to my mom and see what she thinks. I also have one problem: Pearl doesn't chew her food... I know, it's weird. Ever since we found her as a puppy starving, she is very food obsessive. She eats really fast and doesn't ever chew. My dad tried to break her habit. He kept on feeding her until she went out and threw it all up! YUCK! Then she just came back and kept eating. :( She isn't aggressive at all though. Lately me and my mom have been trying to break it again by making her calm down TOTALLY before feeding her. Sometimes it takes two hours, but she eats more slowly. But Pearl still doesn't chew. Would the chicken bones hurt her if she tries to swallow them? Or would she just chew them. She chews the bones from the pet store we got her.

Hi Honey,

Mom just read your latest comment on my bloggie... you asked whether the kitTONs were on a raw diet as well. Unfortunately, no. Fergie will eat a little bit of raw, but picky Phoebe won't even touch it! Phoebe doesn't really even like wet food that much. Mom's tried several different 'commercially' made raw diets in the hopes of converting them, but hasn't had any luck. Any suggestions would definitely be appreciated!

wags, wiggles & slobbers

peee. ess. Mom and me are SO happy your humans are finally back from their holiday. We missed all of you!

Hi Honey! Thanks for sharin' all of this with us! Mama has been seriously considering changing us to raw after learning about it in her nutrition classes. She has been a little hesitant 'cause she wasn't sure where to start, but she really loved your post. THANK YOU!
